Digital AlThe Switchover Help Scheme can help you make the switch to digital TV.

We can help you convert your TV to digital if you:

•  Are aged 75 or over, or

•  Have lived in a care home for six months or more, or

•  Get (or could get) certain disability benefits, or

Are registered blind or partially sighted

When can I get help?

We will offer you help in the run-up to switchover in your ITV region.

Between now and 2012, television services in the UK will go completely digital, ITV region by ITV region. The old analogue television signal will be switched off and you will need to convert or upgrade your TV to receive digital signals, through your aerial, by satellite, cable or broadband.

Switchover is a complicated process, and needs to be done in stages so that everyone in the country will be ready for it. The best way to check which TV region you are in is by seeing which ITV news service you receive.

Don't worry; you'll get plenty of notice before services in your area are affected, and if you are eligible for the Switchover Help Scheme we'll be in touch personally with advice on what to do.
